Visitor improvements

When the new ground source heating pipes were installed in the autumn of 2010 the surface of Great Dixter’s largest car park was reinforced so it is better equipped to deal with wet weather.

In the winter of 2011/12 a loggia will be built at the back of the shop to provide better facilities for refreshments.

We still have to complete the funding for these improvements to visitor services. Some of the money will be provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund but £18,000 is still needed as match funds.
