In an extensive lecture of 2 hrs he will discuss a diverse range of combinations looking at foliage, contrasting shapes and textures, space, rhythm and punctuation, colour, and whimsical twists and turns in borders. He will discuss the thought processes involved in creating the scintillating and colourful scenes found at Great Dixter as well as visiting some of the magical, historical combinations under Christopher Lloyd. This talk will be relevant to gardens of all sizes and to gardeners from all climates and will be full of the joy and experimentation that exciting borders have. A video of the talk and a slide list will be provided.
