Winter Work at Great Dixter Fergus will look at how the work is planned and prioritised over the Winter, and how the pressure is taken off the spring. This lecture will outline the work schedule within the gardens leading up to and within the winter months paving the path for spring. Fergus will talk about all aspects of the practical work involved including, weeding, editing, splitting, composting, feeding, and the growing of hardy annuals to integrate into your borders using cold frames, and pruning. Fergus will show how the team manage to get onto the borders in the rain and how to push and pull work to be efficient with your time. © Fergus Garrett Book
