About 80% of the plants we sell are raised in the Nursery from garden stock. The rest are bought in as small plants from British growers and grown on, both here as well as at the Friary Gardeners, a charity for people with learning disabilities in Hastings.

The garden is the proving ground where our plants are tried, tested and combined to best show off their assets. They give Great Dixter its unique identity, represent the eclectic tastes of Christopher Lloyd and are among the best of their kind. The images below show a selection of plant combinations from the garden that are on sale from the Nursery when available.
