Head Gardener Fergus Garrett will lead this Study Day held at Great Dixter House and Gardens. Refreshments and lunch are included, served in the Great Hall. We are offering a 10% discount on plant sales for attendees in the nursery on the day.

Fergus will use the borders at Great Dixter to illustrate how you can create a long-season border using structural plants, underplanting and interplanting of bulbs, self-sowers, and pockets of ephemerals, climbers, and good maintenance. This intensive day will include slides, talks and discussion sessions in the garden.

The garden sessions will focus on using bulbs mixed within permanent border plantings and using bulbs as pocket plantings. November is the time you can make a real difference to your garden as the opportunities are there clearly in front of you. Fergus will discuss how to grasp these and start the layering process of succession.
