Hardy biennial with rosettes of grey green leaves and spikes of pinky purple flowers in early summer. Can self-sow, sun or part shade and moist well-drained soil.

Spread: 50cm
Sow onto moist compost in containers in spring to summer at 15°c. Lightly cover seeds with a thin layer of fine grit. Prick out when large enough to handle.
