When the Lloyd’s purchased Great Dixter in 1910 there was a number of outbuildings, including barns and farm buildings on the estate, some of which were incorporated into the layout of the gardens.
The building dates from the early eighteenth century and has gone through successive changes in use and layout. Part of it housed the farm’s horses in stables like the one that remains. Read more
