Dogs are welcome in the Loggia Café and the Nursery, and on the wider estate but unfortunately only Guide dogs are allowed in the house and garden.

We are open until 31 October 2026, from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on a Monday unless it is a Bank Holiday Monday) from 11am until 5pm (last entry to the House 4.30pm).  Please note reduced opening hours for the House in October of 12 noon to 4pm.

Great Dixter Nurseries

The Nursery is currently open to visitors every day from 9 am to 5 pm.

Great Dixter Shop

The Shop is open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday (closed on a Monday unless it is a Bank Holiday Monday). Please visit our online shop for a lovely selection of tools, books, seeds, clothing, and more.

Loggia Café

The café is open from 10am to 4.30pm, Tuesday to Sunday (closed on a Monday unless it is a Bank Holiday Monday).

Guide dog puppies in training (and indeed Guide dogs) are welcome so long as they are wearing their training vest and documentation is provided at the kiosk.

Yes. Tickets are for House and Garden entry.  Tickets are not available for House only entry or Garden only entry.

Yes, so long as they are with the person they are assisting. Please mention to our kiosk staff upon arrival.

Yes please email [email protected] to reserve one. Please also visit our page on accessibility before you visit as the garden is not easy for wheelchair users.

Yes we have records of all new Friends and Annual ticket holders so you can visit without your card if it hasn’t yet arrived

No, there is no advance booking.  Simply arrive and purchase your tickets from the Ticket Kiosk.

No, you can visit the Nursery, Shop and Café without buying an entry ticket. Please follow the signs to the nursery through the car park.
