The Repair, Restore, Renovate Appeal Fund (RRR)
Funds to Repair, Restore and Renovate the vital infrastructure of Great Dixter are urgently needed.
The maintenance and preservation on a site such as Great Dixter has a multitude of ongoing needs: from leaks in the oriel window of the Great Hall to the complete renovation of the Cart Lodge. Donations are required now to fund repairs.
Throughout the Estate there are many Listed buildings all of which have been inspected with regard to their need for restoration, repair or maintenance. This has highlighted the south windows in the Great Hall, the Long Shed and the Cart Lodge as priorities. Planning works with the advice of a Heritage Consultant, Conservation Architect and Timber Frame Joiners are necessary to ensure a sympathetic approach to these iconic buildings.
A structured 5-year programme that will closely monitor the needs of the buildings is now complete.
