Garden Explorers

Garden Explorers is an adventurous group for children and their carers which takes place at Great Dixter, based from the Education room at Dixter Farm.

The plan is to make some cheese scones (ingredients: SR Flour, Butter, Cheese- herbs to taste -and milk to mix- please bring subs if you have allergies)

We’ll have a walk around the garden and enjoy the midsummer wildlife- I think we’ll see if we can spot some butterflies. Then we’ll head back for scones coffee, singing and dancing, making some butterfly folding prints and a story.

There will also be some watering and some gardening to be done.

Please park in the main car park and meet at 9:30 at Dixter Farm. You can book as ever from 9pm the night before the session.

Just to reiterate that the garden is now open to the public. Please park sensibly pulling as far forward into the spaces as you are able to and make sure you squeeze up to the person next door- also please do not use the disabled spots unless you have a blue badge.

Thank you!

Catherine

Information for new Garden Explorers:
There are baby changing facilities in the education room and the White Barn, next to the ticket office. There is lots of room for buggies inside the education room but when in the garden, we leave them by the ticket office and stick to the paths at all times.

Please be aware that Great Dixter is responsible for ensuring that all sites and activities are risk assessed and fit for purpose and you are responsible for direct supervision of your children while attending this group. Please read the health and safety information on our website before attending a session.
