Lutyens, the Lloyds & the Legacy

An opportunity to see the Lutyens wing of the house. This hour long tour, led by a Senior Guide, will show you the Lutyens / Lloyds collaboration and explain how the Lloyd’s used each room.  You will walk from the entrance to the kitchens and servants hall, up to the first floor family bedrooms and into the Yeoman’s Hall, which was brought from Benenden by horse and cart in 1910. The tour will conclude with tea and coffee served in the Kitchen.

During your visit, you will be welcomed into the:

  • Waiting Hall
  • Pantry
  • Kitchen
  • Servants’ Hall
  • Yeoman’s Hall
  • Lattice Stairway
  • Day Nursery
  • Family bedrooms including the Night Nursery, North Bedroom and South Bedroom

There will be a maximum of 10 people per tour and the ticket price includes admission to the garden afterwards. You will also be able to view the medieval side of the House on a freeflow basis.
