The Nursery was started by Christopher Lloyd in 1954, specialising in plants he deemed garden-worthy.

We remain a small, personal, and professional nursery. Find out more about our methods of raising plants. 

Great Dixter Nursery

The Nursery is open Monday – Sunday between 9 am – 5 pm

As well as plants, we sell hand-picked Great Dixter seed and a carefully selected range of garden tools and pots and sundries.

We will be continuing mail orders and pre-paid collections, browse our online catalogue to place an order. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all at a safe distance!

Parking is located at the northwest perimeter of the Nursery. From here the Nursery may be accessed directly. The nearby Great Dixter Shop is ideally located for garden-related products, gifts, locally made products, and refreshments.
