13th May 2025
May’s session will include a visit to the garden looking for bumblebees, some biodiversity studies around the education room including pond dipping and a bit more gardening including lots of watering.
We will make some Singing Hinnies https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/discover/food/recipes/cakes-bakes-desserts/cragside-singing-hinnie
to have in the woods and cook on the fire. I’ll also get hold of some clay that we can use to make some green people faces in the woods.
There will be coffee and tea for adults, and squash for the kids, a story for anyone who is interested and some all round free-flow fun.

The session will end at 1:30 so it’s probably a good idea to bring a packed lunch.
Please note that the paths in the woods are quite narrow and tricky with buggies: slings are preferred.
