The Lower Moat
The Lower Moat still contains water. The giant Gunnera manicata flanks the moat to one side with Skunk Cabbage (Lysichiton americanum) forming impressive colonies in the mud.

Saturday 21 June 2025 - Great Dixter House & Gardens, including the Nursery, Shop and Café will be closed from 12 noon on Saturday 21 June owing to a planned power cut by UK Power Networks. We will open as normal on Sunday 22 June.
